Top five mobile Processors used in smartphones...

1. Qualcomm Snapdragon

                                        

                        

Qualcomm Snapdragon brand is releasing mobile processors and LTE modems. Snapdragon went through a lot series-S1,S2,S3,S4,S200, S400, S600, S800. The processor is going through the S800 series as of 2016 end. Most Qualcomm processors in medium to high-end phone market is either S830 0r S812. the latest version is S845.

It is known for its performance. Snapdragon is known for multitasking and intensive processing for gaming. Snapdragon processors produce less heat compared to different processors. Generally, Snapdragon processors are costlier than other processors.

2.Apple Mobile Processors

                               

Apple does not manufacture any microprocessors. Instead, they make contracts with processor manufacturing companies mainly Samsung and TSMC for making custom-built processors that suit their design and performance expectations. For e.g., the A9 14nm processor was built by Samsung, while the A9 16nm version was built by TSMC.

3. MediaTek     

                                  

The latest processor from MediaTek is Helio P60 and Helio P70 which is used in smartphones. MediaTek processors are mostly popular with Chinese manufacture. Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo etc use them on Smartphones. LAtest processors from MediaTek come with a lot of cores. When combined with enough RAM, you can expect easy multi-tasking with good processing power. The PowerVR GPU of MediaTek is best than most of the processors. MediaTek processors are cheaper and so is the best option for low budget devices with good performance.

4. HiSilicon.

                                

                            

Some of the processors released by HiSilicon are K3V1, K3V2, K3V2E, Kirin 620, Kirin 650, Kirin 910, Kirin 920, 930, 950, and Kirin 980.

Kirin 980  is the world's first commercial mobile phone  SoC chipset made with TSMC's 7nm process, integrating 6.9 billion transitions to improve both performance and energy efficiency. It is the first of its kind developed based on ARM  Cortex-A76, Mali-G76 GPU.



5. Samsung Exynos.


                             


Samsung's mobile processors, released under the Samsung Exynos brand, cater to handset budgets across the market, from its flagship Galaxy S phones to budget J series handsets.
 Some of the processors in the series are Exsynos7 dual. Exynos 7420, Exynos  7octa series and 8 octa series.
Exsynos 9820 is the latest processsor in Samsung.
